Premier Inn Edinburgh Park - Airport

Decent hotel for staying near the airport. Edinburgh station is just across the street and makes it an easy commute to the city.

Room was clean and in good condition. Very convenient for rail and tram connection to airport. Restaurant food was disappointing given the price.

The hotel is nice and very conveniently located close to the airport. They even have a dedicated phone to help arrange taxis, which is a thoughtful and practical detail. I booked a room with a king bed, but it did not feel like a true king mattress. It seemed to be two twin mattresses joined together, which was uncomfortable because I could feel the gap where they connected. Other than that, the room was very nice, and the bathroom in particular was excellent.

All-in-all, a good (not great) hotel experience. Couldn't understand why they charge 5 quid per day for parking and make you pay for it at an outside kiosk (for us, in the rain). Arrived at 3:30 pm and, yet, had to wait in the lobby for our room, as it was explained to us, housekeeping had a difficult time that day keeping up (check-in person, to be fair, comped us for high-speed internet for our patience). Room was good. Dinner was okay (pizza was very good, but the caesar salad was pretty funky). Best thing about it: short walking distance to trains, Costa and Aldi.
