Von Anfang an eine super Unterkunft mit guter Organisation. Wir wurden zu Anfang von einem Guide der Unterkunft am Ufer empfangen. Dieser führte uns dann zu der Unterkunft und erzählte und zeigte uns schon vorab die wichtigsten Punkte und Orte in Tortuguero. Die Unterkunt selbst hatte eine gute Ausstattung. Wir hatten sogar einen kleinen Kühlschrank mit Tee auf dem Zimmer. Geschirr und eine Spühle ist auch da, diese befinden sich draußen. Das beste an der Unterkunft ist die Lage und die Tierbeobachtungen. Es ist ruhig gelegen, ziemlich am Rande von Tortuguero, sodass man von dort auch super Tiere beobachten kann. Es gibt sogar kleine Außenduschen, sodass man die Schuhe reinigen kann, die auf vor Ort doch öfter nass und dreckig werden. Das Personal war sehr freundlich, immer gegrüßt und ein Lächeln im Gesicht gehabt. Touren sind auch von dort aus buchbar mit eigenem Guide. Ein absoluter Pluspunkt ist auch, dass man seine Wäsche dort waschen und trocknen lassen kann.

Nur die Klimanlage, die man leider nicht verstellen konnte. Sie hatte immer auf Kopfhöhe auf das Bett geblasen.

The location is great. We were also lucky enough to enjoy spider monkeys from our balcony. It felt great to be in amongst so much nature. Plenty of tours and activities available from this location also. We booked the ‘Turtle Package’ and the people at the property helped to ensure this all ran smoothly (3 activities in one package).

The kitchen facilities were not sufficient to really do anything with. It was more an en-suite room, than a self sufficient apartment.

Lovely place right next to the national park and sufficiently far away from the main road to be undisturbed by the crowds. Very good organization of the tours (turtles, canals, hike). Don’t forget to rent boots for turtles and hikes. There is a lot of mud on the way. Staff was great. Spider monkeys came by a couple of times.

The property is on the edge of the national park and we had a balcony overlooking the forest. We saw sloths and monkeys. It was very clean and nicely decorated. Friendly hosts.

You have to pay by cash. There was building work going on while we were there, which wasn't loud but impacted use of the balcony.
