Our cottage is located in the heart of Comminges, a privileged region by its central position on the edge of the Pyrenees: It is historically a very popular place of passage: Roman roads, the Way of St. James, passage to Spain, A64, GR86, GR861.
Archaeological remains and historical monuments are numerous (Gargas caves, Roman remains of Lugdunum Convenarum and cathedral of Saint-Bertrand de Comminges, villa of Montmaurin...)
For those who are attracted by science and technology, the centres of interest are nearby: the Pic du Midi observatory, the Cité de l'Espace in Toulouse.
There are also many old industrial testimonies: water mills (some of which are still active), old lead, zinc or manganese mines in the mountains.
The owners, who are passionate about the mountains and sports (simple walks, ski touring, climbing, canyoning, horse riding, etc.) will be keen to show you attractive and uncrowded (and why not aerial) itineraries! You will discover the more secret and more endearing Pyrenees by getting off the beaten path, and will have the opportunity to see "Beyond the peaks".
Breeders of Castillonnais horses, we can take you to feed the herd near the cottage.
Depending on the season, vegetables from the garden or fruits from the property (apples, lemons, clementines) may be offered to you.
As for those who wish to recharge their batteries or enjoy the hot summer days, idleness by the river awaits you in little-known and preserved corners.
