On the first floor, Elpida has a double bed, a built-in sofa with pillows by the windows and a minimal concrete bedside table with a mirror and a black washbasin. The 30 m² suite has a kitchenette with an electric stove, microwave and coffee makers, plus air conditioning and Wi-Fi. The Venetian harbour is close by; check-in is at the reception from 16:00 to 23:00.
Elpida, which means hope in Greek, is a design suite for two on the first floor of Gateway Suites in Rethymno Old Town. It suits couples on a city break and guests who like to cook for themselves on a longer stay.
A suite designed around two details. Beside the bed stands a minimal concrete table with a mirror and a black washbasin. By the windows, a built-in sofa with pillows is the spot for a morning coffee or an evening glass of wine.
Outdoor hot tub and backyard. Guests have access to an outdoor hot tub (hydromassage jacuzzi), and the backyard is set up with outdoor furniture.
Kitchenette in the Old Town. The kitchenette has an electric stove, a microwave, a fridge, a kettle, a choice of coffee makers, cooking basics and a dining table, so you can eat in whenever you like. The Venetian harbour and the lighthouse are next to the suites.
The space: 30 m², with one bedroom with one double bed and one bathroom with eco-friendly toiletries. Bed linen, towels, extra pillows and blankets, a hair dryer, an iron and ironing board, room-darkening shades and clothing storage are provided.
Practical points: air conditioning, heating, Wi-Fi, a TV and a safe. We use eco-friendly cleaning products throughout the property.
