Wonderful villa with swimming pool and gazebo, equipped with a spacious furnished veranda in Ostuni.
The interior of the accommodation consists of a living room with sofa, dining table and a large equipped kitchenette. The living area includes a further small lounge with sofa. The sleeping area is composed of three spacious bedrooms with double bed and two bathrooms with shower and bidet, one of which is ensuite. The layout is completed by the splendid outdoor space with private swimming pool, sun loungers, barbecue and veranda equipped with dining table.
*Not far from the accommodation there is a railway, from which the villa takes its name. It is a local line that is not very noisy, with slow and sporadic trains (approximately one per hour, only during the day).
*Upon arrival or a few days before arrival, a tourist tax may be requested, the amount of which varies according to local regulations. You will find all information relating to your booking within the Guest Area of Wonderful Italy.
Ostuni, known to the world as the White City, is the pearl of the Valle d'Itria. Its historic centre, of a blinding white, immense, culminates with the Cathedral which imperiously dominates the plain of olive trees, the coastal dune park and a clear and crystalline sea. Characteristic are its alleyways, Piazza della Libertà and the column of S. Oronzo which majestically protects the town.
Its countryside extends into the heart of the Valle d'Itria. A few kilometres away is Ceglie Messapica, a centre of tradition and food and wine culture, Cisternino, a village recognised amongst the most beautiful in Italy, Alberobello whose famous trulli have been a UNESCO World Heritage Site since 1996. About 30 km to the north we find the Archaeological Park of Egnazia, Monopoli and Polignano a Mare, ancient fishing villages with evocative historic centres and beautiful beaches. To the north is Bari, the gateway to the Orient, whilst heading south we first encounter the Torre Guaceto nature reserve, then Brindisi before reaching Lecce, capital of the Baroque. Moving westwards there is Taranto, heart of Magna Graecia and finally Matera, characteristic for its sassi and European Capital of Culture 2019.
Brindisi airport is 50 minutes' drive away, whilst Bari international airport is 100 km away.
