Just renovated, in a quiet area, cosy, super comfy bed, all that you need is at hand.

The comfort of staying above the beautiful little pub in a tiny apartment made us feel like locals; it felt welcoming, safe, and was just a lovely place to return to at the end of the night. Getting a discount on dining and drinks at the pub below was also really nice (which was especially wonderful on the Wednesday steak night). I felt like I was at home at the Fox and would recommend this location wholeheartedly. The proximity to public transportation, local parks, and the pub scene was fabulous. The apartment was also well-equipped for a longer stay, as we had access to a microwave, full oven/burners, a fridge, a washer/dryer combo, and a coffee maker. Finally, The Fox really fit its name- we thought it was magical seeing the foxes traipsing about on a nightly basis.

If you are traveling with a good amount of luggage or have mobility issues, the stairs are a bit daunting. Additionally, if you are an American and cannot go without aircon in the summer, this is not the place for you. The apartment did come with standing fans and we kept the windows cracked open; however, we were there during a heatwave. I wish we were able to open the windows a bit more to get a better airflow.
