The hosts are very kind and welcoming. The location is in the middle of the forest - close to the shrines and easy to access Togakuchi and other trails from there.

Beware of very limited food options. It is a good idea to do some grocery shopping to prepare for an easy meal. However we can recommend the recently opened local restaurant very close by - a place to come back to for sure! It’s only closed Sunday evening.

The hosts were incredibly kind. We really enjoyed the delicious homemade dinner and breakfast they made for us and the conversations. The house and room were clean and spacious and beautiful in a quiet forest setting. What great hospitality and they made our first night in Japan so memorable!

Wonderful hosts, hospitality. They gave us a ride to the ninja village close by, and made us breakfast both days we were there. They also offered to pick us up from the station, and dropped us off at the nearest station when we were leaving. Absolutely amazing experience. It was beautiful when it rained.

That I didn’t make more time to stay there and also see their dog.
