Experience pure relaxation at the NordseeResort Friesland in our spacious Upstalsboom 4-room penthouse “Dwarslöper” (sinf48-6-n), featuring a sauna, fireplace, and bathtub. With 115 m² of living space, the penthouse can accommodate up to six people, and the 20-square-meter rooftop terrace with a breathtaking panoramic view of the North Sea makes your stay an unforgettable experience.

Location
The penthouse is located on the sixth floor of the popular NordseeResort Friesland vacation complex, right on the dike and only about 200 meters from the kilometer-long sandy beach. Numerous restaurants, cafés, and shopping options are easily accessible on foot or by bike. The range of recreational activities in the area is also diverse: from the indoor seawater wave pool in Hooksiel to the Friesland-Therme and the 2,500-square-meter Thalasso Meeres SPA in Horumersiel. Also popular is the water ski lift in Hooksiel with its large sun terrace, and our tip for families is a guided mudflat hike, which offers a fascinating glimpse into the Wadden Sea, an UNESCO World Natural Heritage Site.

Amenities
The penthouse features high-quality furnishings and modern amenities. Three bedrooms, each with a double bed (1.80 x 2.00 m), a closet, blackout curtains, and insect screens, ensure a restful night’s sleep. Two of the bedrooms feature a SMART TV. There are two bathrooms, both with walk-in rain showers; the larger one also features underfloor heating, a bathtub, and its own sauna—your private oasis of well-being during your vacation. The spacious living-dining area with a wood-burning stove, a 55-inch QLED Smart TV, books, and games invites you to enjoy cozy evenings, while the open kitchen is fully equipped with a ceramic cooktop, oven, dishwasher, microwave, refrigerator with freezer compartment, coffee maker (Senseo), electric kettle, and toaster. The large rooftop terrace with ocean views, sun loungers, patio furniture, and a parasol offers the ideal spot to relax in the fresh North Sea air. Free Wi-Fi with a fiber-optic connection is included, as is the option to add a crib and a high chair upon request.

Special Features
The non-smoking penthouse offers a private, free parking space for your car right next to the house. The exclusive location on the dike, combined with a sauna, wood-burning stove, and rooftop terrace, makes the “Dwarslöper” penthouse the perfect retreat for a family vacation, a wellness getaway, or romantic days by the North Sea. Vacation on the dike and by the North Sea at the wonderful NordseeResort Friesland!

The NordseeResort Friesland is situated in a magnificent location directly on the dike in a quiet, virtually car-free area and is surrounded by small, idyllic waterways known as “Graften.” The fine-sand beach is just 200 meters away. North Sea lovers, families, and nature enthusiasts especially enjoy the spacious and open floor plans and the excellent location of the charming vacation homes and apartments. The North Sea, the Wadden Sea, and the dunes put you in vacation and relaxation mode the moment you arrive.

The fresh sea breeze and the salty scent of the North Sea fill the air, bringing new vitality. Walks on the beach and along the dike, building sandcastles and searching for seashells, or an adventurous hike through the Wadden Sea, an UNESCO World Natural Heritage Site, are fun for the whole family. Most of the apartments and vacation homes feature a sauna, a whirlpool tub, and a wood-burning stove. All accommodations offer a balcony or terrace. If you’d like, after a sauna session, you can simply walk to the nearby beach and cool off in the North Sea …

Schillig’s unique peninsula location, the gently sloping beach, and the shallow water are especially popular with families with children, but also with dog owners and their faithful companions. Here, two-legged and four-legged friends romp around together—each on “their own beach,” of course. The ebb and flow of the tides offers unforgettable experiences.
