The Space:
Conveniently located with the beach on one side of the property and one of the Wild Dunes golf courses on the other, this ocean facing Mariner's Walk villa promises an Isle of Palms vacation you'll always remember. Relax with your morning coffee on the spacious screened porch, take long afternoon walks on the neighboring ocean beach, and cool off in the sparkling waters of the community's swimming pool. Recent additions include new twin beds (November 2023), and a new tankless water heater (installed December 2023).
This 1,064-square-foot condo is just a few minutes' walk from the ocean beach, so you'll never be far from swimming, sunbathing, and beautiful views of the shoreline. Take your pick of the Links and Harbor Golf Courses at Wild Dunes, both of which are in the immediate area, or hop in the car for a quick drive to the shops, restaurants, and entertainment in the downtown area of Isle of Palms four miles west. The Isle of Palms Marina is just over two miles west, and downtown Charleston - full of history and world-class cuisine - is 15 miles inland.

All guests shall abide by the good neighbor policy and shall not engage in illegal activity. Quiet hours are from 10:00 PM to 8:00 AM
No smoking is permitted anywhere on the premises.
No Sportscard (Wild Dunes amenities are limited to the pool, golf, dining, and bike trails).
Trailer and motorcycle parking is not permitted.
**Notice: Sand renourishment work will be ongoing on the beach nearby from Mid-July through Mid-September. Beach is open but will have some construction areas and obstructions.

Everything was fine with the small exception of the door and lock to get into the place. Need to address that to make it much easier and shave the door down so that it doesnt stick. Could not tell when it was unlocked as the door stuck so badly due to the moisture swelling the door.

The condo was extremely clean and well equipped…loved the location. My only complaint was the water pressure in the Master Bathroom was very low. Perhaps a new shower head is needed.

Being on the beach, this location was great. And overall, we were comfortable. Very peaceful and serene. However, we did encounter a few problems. The 10-digit code to enter the property was quite cumbersome. Each time we needed to go back inside, it took us several attempts entering the code before the door would open. On one instance at night, we stood outside for a least 7 minutes trying to open the door. A neighbor walking by mentioned that he and his wife also had trouble opening their door with the code. Also, the unit had a faint musty smell. And although the unit is advertised as being able to accommodate 6, that's a bit of a stretch. Two of the beds are twin beds that would be uncomfortable for a large adult, and two guests would have to sleep on the pullout sofa downstairs, which would only be acceptable if you were paying 100/night or so. Lastly, the request for guests to do light cleaning, along with the unreasonably early 10am checkout time makes this rental a low value for the amount of money we paid.
