Two newly built thatched-roof houses with expansive views of the water make up the Boddenresidenz on the outskirts of the princely town of Putbus on the island of Rügen. Each house stands on a lot of approximately 1,200 square meters facing the historic landscape park and offers 190 square meters of living space for up to six guests. Designed in the traditional country house style, the houses combine comfort with an exclusive ambiance.

Putbus is nicknamed the “White City” and, with its neoclassical architecture, is considered an architectural gem of Rügen. The center is the Circus—a circular square surrounded by gleaming white buildings, from which the streets radiate in all directions. Right across the way, the castle park, with its expansive meadows, ponds, and ancient giant trees, invites visitors to take relaxing walks.

Putbus also has a lot to offer culturally: The historic theater is the oldest on the island and delights visitors with concerts, plays, and festivals. The Orangery, the castle church, and historic buildings give the town its distinctive character.

Its proximity to the Greifswald Bodden offers ideal opportunities for trips to the water, bike rides along the coast, or visits to charming fishing villages in the surrounding area. In this way, Putbus uniquely combines nature, culture, and maritime charm—the perfect setting for a relaxing and varied stay on Rügen.
