Lovely spot to stay with great pub underneath

The Property was nice & central, clean. Twin room at front was nice & big, huge wardrobe dressing table etc, beds comfy. The bar food was so nice the Saturday evening, staff so friendly & helpful.

The double room 4, was small, no space to put things no wardrobe place hang clothes etc. thought €140 for the room is a bit pricey without any breakfast not even continental! The Sunday carvery was cold & not nice, was in a big event room which was cold.

Rooms were spotless and had everything you need. Looks like newly renovated. Bathroom was spacious and shower was great! Fresh fluffy towels and thick hotel quality duvets and pillows. Could be quite noisy from the street but we had a god night sleep.

We had a family room with sofa bed which was quite hard to sleep on. I would recommend to have mattress topper for these.

Within minutes of booking I realised I booked a room with a shared bathroom which I didn't want. Straight away I contacted them on the booking site to ask if I could change to a room with a bathroom. No reply? Then I rang them and was told I'd get a call back after 12, again nothing? Then I emailed, again nothing? How rude. The least they could have done was reply. We checked on booking site and rooms with a bathroom were still available. We would have cancelled but it was non refundable. Curtesy goes a long way. No milk in room and no heating on? Had to buy milk in the morning across the road. For all the good the lack of basic manners to reply to us over rode everything else. It's a shame on them. So basic, shouldn't have happened.
