The condition of the property is simply disgusting and falls far below any acceptable standard.
There was nothing I liked
I am formally lodging a complaint regarding the property, which was grossly misrepresented and is entirely unfit for use as a B&B.
Upon arrival, I found the premises to be in an unacceptable and unhygienic condition. The property had a persistent foul smell, broken window blinds, and extremely dirty towels, which I could not use under any circumstances. There was also insufficient toilet paper provided. Multiple fixtures and elements within the property are broken, clearly indicating a lack of basic maintenance and disregard for guest safety and comfort.
To further emphasise the severity of the situation, I was unable to sleep comfortably due to the unhygienic condition of the bedding. The sheets were clearly not clean, to the extent that I could not bring myself to use them. I was forced to use a decorative fleece blanket from the bed just to get through the night. This is completely unacceptable and raises serious concerns about hygiene standards and guest safety.
Most concerning is that the property failed to meet minimum standards of habitability. This constitutes a clear breach of consumer protection laws and platform policies, including but not limited to misrepresentation and failure to provide services as advertised.
The situation was further aggravated by the host’s complete lack of responsiveness. After briefly leaving the property, I was unable to regain access because security could not reach the host. I personally attempted to contact the host via phone, but my calls were ignored and never returned. This left me stranded and compromised my safety.
Additionally, the property offers no reasonable level of privacy. The kitchen window is uncovered and directly faces neighbouring flats, which is unacceptable for any guest accommodation. Based on the above, I consider this booking to have been fundamentally defective and not delivered as agreed.
