Our family traveled to Wheeling to see our favorite band perform at the Capitol Theater, and this apartment was excellent for our two night stay. There's generous on-street parking during evenings and weekends, and plenty of cheap garage parking less than a block away for the rest of the time, and the apartment is perfectly located for enjoying downtown Wheeling. It was a four minute walk to the theater, and we found options for breakfast, lunch, and dinner also in easy walking distance, as well as the Public Market (groceries, fresh and locally produced food and art). The apartment is extremely spacious, clean, and newly renovated, with lots of nice touches and big windows with cool views onto Market Street. We appreciated how well-stocked the apartment was, with K-cups for coffee, detergent for the washing mashing and the dishwasher, napkins, foil, etc. etc. Even spare toothbrushes! The open kitchen and living room area was inviting and comfortable, and other rooms were also generously sized and thoughtfully set up. The host was responsive to our questions and it was easy to get in and out. We had a great time in Wheeling, and having a comfortable place to stay was a major factor, especially for our teenage kids. We were also really glad we could bring our dog.

We brought ground coffee with us, expecting a drip coffeemaker. The K-cups were okay but we felt bad about using them all! We weren't sure what to do with our trash, so additional instructions might be helpful (e.g., does Wheeling recycle?). The beautiful butcher block bar between the kitchen and living area doesn't seem to be sealed, so I think it's going to get stained, and there aren't under-cupboard lights in the kitchen, so it was a bit too dim for cooking (for our middle-aged eyes). And I'm really picky about bedding, and found the synthetic sheets unpleasant (they don't breathe) and the bed pillows weren't supportive. But I'm nit-picking here. Overall, the apartment was great, and we really enjoyed seeing the "before" pictures of the space before it was renovated in 2023.

Location is perfect for a hockey game, a visit to Oglebay, a show at the Capitol Theater, or for any number of other activities. Great restaurant and cafe options nearby. Cool historic waterfront. Accommodations are newly renovated in a clean, modern, spacious style- great job! Easy access and communication.
