The sea water source pool in Dangast is popular in any season. In Tossens there is the “ffn Friesenstrand” and in Burhave the North Sea lagoon, which is not dependent on the tide like the other beaches. The Jaderberg nature reserve also belongs to the area. The 18.5-hectare nature reserve serves to protect a colony of grey heron that have been settling in the treetops for at least 50 years.
