Like many areas of New Orleans, the neighborhood is undergoing some renovations just like this house did. Some homes have been completely restored and others are awaiting their salvation! While some spots in the area may look a little rough, we've never experienced any safety issues here and our neighbors are wonderful people!

A copper fire pit crackles in a fenced-in courtyard while the city hums just a few blocks away. Inside, high ceilings and soft linens meet the easy rhythm of shotgun-style living. This is New Orleans at a human scale - close enough to walk to the French Quarter, quiet enough to actually unwind in between.

As October settles over the city, the evenings turn pleasantly cool - ideal for lingering around the fire pit in the Adirondack chairs with a drink in hand, or firing up the BBQ for a relaxed dinner outdoors before heading out to catch the last of the fall festivals.

Living space
The home carries the character of a classic Victorian shotgun duplex, with a layout that flows naturally from room to room. Room-darkening blinds, a ceiling fan, and a sound system round out a space built for both downtime and gathering.

Sleeping arrangements
The lower unit holds two bedrooms, each made up with soft linens and comfortable beds for settling in after a day on your feet. The single bathroom includes a bath, hairdryer, and a full lineup of toiletries - shampoo, conditioner, body soap - plus plenty of hot water for a proper soak at the end of the night.

Kitchen & dining
The kitchen is set up for real cooking, not just reheating: a cooker, oven, fridge, freezer, microwave, dishwasher, and coffee maker cover the basics, while cooking basics, crockery and cutlery, baking sheets, and wine glasses mean you can put together anything from a quick breakfast to a festive dinner at the dining table.

Outdoor living
The fenced backyard is where this place sets itself apart - a genuine outdoor retreat in the middle of the city. Gather around the copper fire pit, settle into the Adirondack chairs, or put the BBQ to work for an evening that doesn't need to go anywhere else.

Comfort & practicalities
A washer and dryer, wifi, air conditioning, and heating keep things easy no matter the season, with extra pillows and blankets on hand for cooler nights. The home sits on a single level with no stairs, and self check-in with a smart lock means arrival is simple on your own schedule. Free on-street parking is available, and a Trader Joe's is just a few blocks off for grocery runs.

This home is pet-friendly, so your furry companions are welcome to join the trip.
