As a curator of fine vacation rentals all along Florida's Gulf Coast, it was Pinkie Flamingo's job to inspect each and every one and to share her findings with travelers from all over. Discovering special “guest nests” was Pinkie's jam and today she was on a roll. Hopping into the elevator at The Mainsail Resort she rose easily to the seventh floor. Around the corner and down the open hallway to #374, Pinkie took in the warm Gulf breezes and sweeping views of the coast and the beautiful resort pools below.
Quite used herself to being the main event, Pinkie could see why this corner condo was so named. “How can anyone go wrong with this set-up?” Pinkie Flamingo knew the ingredients of a great beach vacation rental when she saw it. Featuring 2 furnished balconies with glass slider access, there were gorgeous views from every vantage point of either the Gulf or The Bay. Elegantly appointed with many upgrades like shiplap, sectional sofa with sleeper fold-out, 75" Samsung Smart TV and Yamaha Surround Sound Receiver with Bluetooth, fully equipped chef's kitchen, dining room, and breakfast bar…the common areas are comfortable and inviting.
Pinkie's guests will find their sleeping accommodations to be upgraded also…The master bedroom features a lovely King-size carved, mahogany bed with matching armoire, LED Smart TV and an ihome radio. Adjoining the master suite is a private dressing area with custom built cherry closets and master bath. Access the Gulf-front balcony with breath taking sunrise views right from the master suite. A second guest bedroom features 2 twin beds and LED Smart TV.
Miramar Beach has some of Pinkie's favorite Gulf-front restaurants like the Whale's Tail and Surf Hut serving fresh local seafood with sweeping water views. Visitors are mesmerized by the fabulous wide, clean beaches and the sparkling Emerald green water. Located in the popular beach resort of Mainsail, your next vacation go-to is waiting for you. Condo was nice, loved that they had a closet of sand toys and beach equipment, great cause we left our net for crabbing. Check in was easy, for payment they did take the first through vrbo but required the other payment to them. Sent a check and saved those fees. Only sad note this week was the ice maker did not work.

The stay was great however after you book and pay the initial deposit they ask you to pay the rest outside of the app. I had to communicate with someone from VRBO to make sure it was legit because I had never been asked to pay outside of the app or had a host communicate outside of the app before. After confirming it put my mind at ease. This was a great stay especially for the price!

Once you book through VRBO, you don’t do anything else through VRBO. I had trouble getting in touch with the host on how to pay the remaining balance. You will pay remaining balance outside of VRBO. The property I felt could have been cleaner. I know we’re at the beach but my son complained about sand being in his bed the first night we were there and we hadn’t even been to the beach yet. Not sure if he picked it up on the floor or what. There was also something on the shower curtain in one of the bathrooms that was a little gross and I think the showers could use deeper cleanings. This rental also doesn’t come with complimentary chairs and umbrella. I’ve stayed at mainsail since before they even did chairs and this is the first place I’ve rented that didn’t come with chairs and I didn’t realize it until I got the check in instructions so plan on bringing chairs or buying them. Most of the windows did not have blinds, so sometimes it was hard to watch tv because of a glare, but the view was beautiful. This condo was beautiful and had everything you needed to stay and overall my family had a great stay!
