You’ll find a fully furnished vacation rental here. You’ll feel right at home. It’s a multi-family home with 4 residential units. The building was constructed in 2023/2024 in accordance with the latest building codes and to the KfW 55 standard. The apartments are heated by heat pumps. Each apartment has two bedrooms, each with two single beds or a double bed. The living/kitchen area features a new built-in kitchen with a dishwasher, oven, and more. The living room is equipped with a large flat-screen TV. Free Wi-Fi is provided by Starlink. The storage room contains a washing machine, ironing board, and iron. We’ve thought of everything.

Papenburg, the northernmost city in the Emsland region of Lower Saxony, is a fascinating destination for tourists, known above all for its impressive maritime history. The city is famous for the Meyer Werft, one of Europe’s largest and most modern shipyards, where gigantic cruise ships are built. Visitors can take an exciting tour of the shipyard here and experience firsthand how these “floating cities” are built.

In addition to its industrial significance, Papenburg also boasts a charming historic city center crisscrossed by numerous canals and often referred to as the “Venice of the North.” Lining these waterways are magnificent 18th- and 19th-century captains’ houses that bear witness to the city’s former heyday. The canals, which make Papenburg so unique, invite visitors to take idyllic walks or boat tours where they can enjoy the city’s maritime atmosphere.

Papenburg also offers numerous cultural attractions, including the Forum Alte Werft, a cultural center housed in a historic shipyard building that hosts exhibitions, concerts, and theater performances. Papenburg is well worth a visit.
