Shelter Cove has evolved over the years into the island’s hub. Located mid island, this
Mediterranean- styled marina (repeat winner this year for best marina on the island) has
it all: watersports, dining, shopping, entertainment and extraordinary views. No matter
the time of day or night, the wrap-around boardwalk is filled with dog walkers, families
enjoying the sights or couples sharing quiet moments on the benches located along the
walkway.
Spring and summer are when Shelter Cove really comes to life. Nightly entertainment
at the gazebo, festivals and events of every kind, including the fabulous Memorial Day
Arts Festival. Most memorable is the always popular 30 th year, Tuesday night firework
extravaganza, Harbourfest, featuring vendors, music and kids’ activities, culminating in
a great firework display at dusk. (We have heard a rumor of something special planned
for the 250 th anniversary of the USA this year!) Enjoy kayaking, rent a boat for a quick
cruise down the waterway, go cruise and watch some dolphins or just enjoy the beauty
of the “back side of the island.”

We had the most wonderful stay at this stunning marina-front villa! The location alone made the trip — waking up to gorgeous water views right outside was such a treat, and having such easy access to the beach meant we spent every day relaxing by the water without any hassle.The villa itself was beautifully equipped with everything we could possibly need, which made it so easy to just settle in and enjoy our time together rather than worry about logistics. The host's guest book was incredibly thoughtful and helpful, packed with great local tips and practical info that made our stay even smoother.This was the ideal spot for a sisters' trip — spacious, comfortable, and in a gorgeous setting that made every moment feel like a getaway. We'd happily come back and would recommend this villa to anyone looking for a relaxing waterfront escape!

Great location in Shelter Cove with views of marsh and Broad River and fantastic 4th of July fireworks viewable from both of our porch patios. Saw dolphins every day! Furnishings were clean and in good condition. Really appreciated the covered seating area at the pool which most other places do not have. Host (Trident Rentals) were super responsive and great to deal with. We requested one additional parking pass spur of the moment on July 4th and they got it taken care of within the hour. Numerous restaurants and shops in Shelter Cove are just right around the corner and easily walkable. Would definitely stay here again!
