Adjacent to the nature reserve, you can start your hiking trip right outside the front door. There is a bakery 50 metres from the front door, which has been baking according to old recipes since 1940. In the surrounding region you will find the mini-golf park in Bautzen, the Löbau go-kart track, where you can go karting, Segway or quad biking, as well as the Oderwitz summer toboggan run and Germany's largest maze "Kleinwelka". A trip to the old town centre of Bautzen is highly recommended. Visit the over 1000-year-old town with its waterworks, Friedensbrücke bridge and Ortenburg castle. Germany's only rocky national park, the Saxon Switzerland National Park, is also well worth a visit.
