Non existent property?
I did not like anything as I did not stay here and do not believe the property exists
We arrived in cardiff after a 4 hour drive. We had no contact from the property before arriving. We searched castle street for the property and could not find it. We asked in other hotels near by, if they knew where it was and they had never heard of it. It does not exist on the Internet. Whilst there is a pin location on the booking.com map, the property is not there. I rang the number on booking.com for the property and the number did not exist. I messaged the property at about 2pm but did not have any response. We had to pay for alternative accommodation. 2:57pm, the property texts me to say I need to send proof of my driving licence, government ID before giving me any further pick up or check in details. This was 3 minutes before check in opened and was not acceptable. I contacted booking.com customer service due to my concern and the fact we had had to pay for other accommodation. Booking.com asked the property to message me and they messaged again about government ID. I have then received another message from booking.com to say the property had cancelled my booking due to lack of availability and that I would receive a full refund. Via WhatsApp, the property has said they never said that but would take it up with booking.com.
Due to the issues, the fact we could not find the property on castle street, there is no property number, the phone number does not connect, they did not answer messages and only contacted me 3 minutes before check in to say I would not be given key pick up details unless I provided government ID (what would have happened if I didn't have ID) and also that this place does not exist on Google and other hotels and shops on castle street had never heard of it and it has made me suspect that this is a scam property and does not exist.
