The iron bridge is the best point to approach historical Downtown, 2 train stops away from `coimbrões` train station. after that just down the avenue direction of the bridge.
or change to surface metro and cross the the bridge straight to the hearth of historical Porto.
Canidelo beach offers some night life during the weekends.
iceberg bar being the most popular place. several bars and restaurants are spread along the sea cost of gaia.
there are a lot of night life all around the historical center.
there are several good surfing spots along the coast. Just drive along the coast you`ll find it.

Any uber or bolt to any area around the city center should always be between 7 to 15euros.
