Our host, Alan was incredibly helpful with the check in process. He made sure to communicate with us by website and text and responded to my texts immediately. The home was well appointed, great views, hot tub clean and operating, and a very short walk to the beach (5 minutes). Check out was simple and minimal as our host stated his goal was for us to have a great vacation and we did. Alan our host also was informative on future stays at Surfside too. He is truly a professional host who made our vacation wonderful!

Beach view, hot tub

I hesitate to leave this review because the property itself was impeccable. However I specifically asked about the barbecue grill because the plan was to spend most of the time outside at the grill. Unfortunately we couldn't get the grill to work. I'm pretty sure it had gas we could smell the gas. The lighter that they left didn't work we went to the store to buy another lighter we still couldn't get it to light. So I ended up having to cook everything in the house in one small skillet for several people. By the time all of the cooking was finished it was already dark outside and we just sat around the dining room table playing cards. It wasn't the beach experience that I had planned or had hoped. Not being able to stay outside at the grill changed the entire Dynamic of the stay. The cost for the house for one night because it was so close to the beach was fairly expensive. The fact that we didn't actually get to spend any time outside was very disappointing. But again I hesitate to leave this review because of one small issue. But that small issue completely disrupted the flow of my 60th birthday party.

The stay was great and we loved the place!
