Thoroughly enjoyed our stay here at Drake’s Rest. The property is well-equipped and delightfully furnished and decorated.
We met the on-site host a couple of times, who was very helpful and friendly without being “omni-present” at all.
The situation, in the Borderlands area, is idyllic. Close to the Lakes and Hadrian’s Wall country, but delightfully quiet. Ideal for running, walking, cycling - or just enjoy the rural environment.
Would definitely return..!

Hot tub was a lovely temperature, and luckily we had 2 decent clear evenings to star gaze from hot tub. Rooms nice and clean, starlink wifi was great.

Beautiful cottage and lovely decor. View was perfect and so peaceful. Couldn't fault the hot tub under the stars!
