Located in a quiet area in Palmetto Dunes, Palmetto Retreat is a stunning four-bedroom home with lots to offer. This beautiful property is the ultimate beach destination complete with a private pool and mini putt-putt course and hot tub. Moreover, the simplistic and sophisticated style of this home will have you feeling at ease instantly and returning year after year. Bikes are included, making the trip to the beach fast and easy.
As soon as you enter the home, you'll fall in love with the beautiful dining room and tall ceilings. The living room boasts a sectional sofa, which has a comfy queen pull out, and a gorgeous fireplace for the nights you just want to stay in and have a glass of wine. The living room opens to the kitchen that has everything you need to prepare a tasty home-cooked meal. Additionally, with granite countertops and stainless steel appliances, it has all the upgrades you could want. The formal dining table has seating for 8 and the breakfast bar seats an addition three people, the kitchen table seats 4, which makes this home the ideal place to host a Thanksgiving or Christmas feast with your family.
In addition to the expansive living space and large kitchen, Palmetto Retreat can sleep upwards of ten guests in its four bedrooms, making it ideal for a big family vacation. The first floor hosts the master bedroom, with large bathroom, an addition queen suite, and 2 bedrooms both with 2 twin beds and a shared bathroom. There is a half bathroom off the kitchen and a finished downstairs with kitchen, putting green and seating area.
While Palmetto Retreat's interior is definitely charming, it's this home's outdoor living area that makes this home an excellent "playcation." With a private pool, hot tub, and private yard with plenty of seating on the 2-level decks, you can plan family activities from the comfort of your vacation home. The pool can also be heated for an additional fee per day. In addition, this home is just a few minutes bike ride from the pristine beaches of Hilton Head Island. Overall, you can't go wrong spending your next family vacation at Palmetto Retreat!

The place is very nice with beautiful entryway and chandeliers, lovely real artwork. HVAC works well. The pool and hot tub were great. Pool is perfect size and backyard is lovely. However, price was too much for what was offered.
Kitchen area is spacious but knife set lacking. Knives were dull, one was dirty. Blenders didn’t work. Nonstick pans scratched up. The door to pool is difficult to lock and unlock. Lighting of pool area is poor. The bedroom with queen bed has no closet, headboard was dusty, bed is squeaky, and shower too strong/water tends to runs out onto floor.
There were other welcome and unwelcome surprises:
They actually had two little bedrooms with bunk beds they didn’t list (we didn’t need to buy air mattresses after all). The sink faucet downstairs wasn’t working at all. There was no TV or protector in the the movie room. The door to pool from lower level stays ajar if not locked (not great with kids - and flies - going in and out)
The bicycles were in poor shape so had to rent bikes anyway. They have a chair lift for the elderly they didn’t list or show in photos (we didn’t have need of it but only goes to lower landing). Late in our stay, powder room sink clogged, still drained but slowly.
Overall, a very nice clean place that underdelivered for the price. We didn’t regret staying there - there was a lot to like - but we wouldn’t go back.
