Our house is located in Freitags in the municipality of Buchenberg, approx. 15 km from the Allgäu metropolis of Kempten. Our house shares the surrounding countryside and the unforgettable view deep into the Allgäu mountains with only one other farm. A real stroke of luck, because there you can enjoy delicious Allgäu snacks, coffee and cake. Just walk across the cow meadow and you're there. And don't worry: the Allgäu cows are used to 2-legged friends! One of the most beautiful bathing lakes in the Allgäu - the "Eschacher Weiher" - is just a 20-minute walk from the house. Here you can jump into the clean, cool water with or without swimming trunks. Water nymphs and sun worshippers get their money's worth here. And if you prefer alpine skiing to cross-country skiing in winter, you can enjoy relaxed downhill runs nearby in Eschach. Those who prefer more challenging slopes can reach Austria, Oberstdorf and many other ski resorts in around 30 minutes.
