Charmingly situated in the Gottleuba Valley on the border between Saxon Switzerland and the Ore Mountains, Bad Gottleuba-Berggießhübel offers a good starting point for hiking excursions in both regions. The town centre with its numerous shopping facilities is approx. 10 minutes away by car. You can reach the border to the Czech Republic in approx. 3 minutes, Saxon Switzerland and the Eastern Ore Mountains in 30 - 60 minutes each. Hikers and mountain bikers get their money's worth in our Ore Mountains region. Tours in the neighbouring Czech Republic also offer unimagined possibilities and wonderful panoramic views of the Elbe Sandstone Mountains.
