Clean room. Location was good. Access was easy to work out with smart lock feature

Booked a room with breakfast...this was important for me as i had 2 kids with me and didnt want to be getting ready and going out for breakfast. we checked in on the sunday tea time and was in bed for 9pm, woke at 7am and saw a message on booking.com from the hotel at 21.46pm the night before asking us to pre book breakfast. Obviously we were asleep when we received this message so i tried to call the 24 hour support numbers on the confirmation when we woke up but both numbers went to voicemail. Went onto booking.com and found the owners number, who took a few times calling to answer but when she did i explained that we were asleep when she asked for us to pre book breakfast, she was so rude and not even slightly bothered about offering a service and not fulfilling it. She ended up saying its not her problem we cant have breakfast and put the phone down on me, I then recieved 2 text messages from her giving me attitude, one said 'its your problem you didn't order breakfast, I reminded you at night you was sleeping, its done'!! No customer service skills whatsoever, very rude and I would never ever stay at this property again for that reason! Me and the kids then went downstairs to see if there was anyone around to ask for some breakfast, there wasnt a soul about, but in the restaurant area 'if you can call it that' there was dirty plates and cups on the tables and food on the table. Ive never stayed in a hotel like that in my life and the fact they speak to their customers like that makes me wonder how they even get any business. Cheap room, clean room but nothing special. No lamp or bedside lighting and the bathroom window wouldnt close.

It was value for money

Breakfast at the other hotel. The hotel was dated and the Breakfast ( was there was ) was of a poor standard

Personal touch is amazing helpful and courteous

The beds were very comfortable Good size room

The amount of codes to get into the room There was a funny smell in the room and the carpets were damp. Need a bath mat in the bathroom as the floor was soaked and very slippery after we used the shower
