Ritana Boutique Hotel & Spa

Room, bathroom, check in

One breakfast staff is not enough - there is a duty manager on shift, he should make sure of a smooth operation. The concierge for instance should be helping as he has little to do. Also the check in lady.

Beautiful hotel in a great location in Hanoi. The staff is very helpful, polite, friendly and accommodating. The rooms are spacious and comfortable. The breakfast is also delicious.

The room was very quiet and the room itself was clean.

Check-in process was very unpleasant. They didn't want to let us pay by card stating that they want to avoid the fee. We had to pay the fee by taking the cash out of atm. I don't think it's a good practice for a place that considers itself a 4 star hotel. After that, they asked whether we want to upgrade to another room for 2mln dong. We refused and then went to our room. We realised that the bathroom was dirty and showed them the picture when they asked whether everything was okay. They (the manager) told us that everything they use in the hotel is top quality (lol) and that it's not dirty. They told us that they can check whether they can change us to a different room tomorrow but made sure to tell us that it's going to be "same type, not better". We weren't looking to be upgraded lol it was just dirty. After that, we refused to change the room the next day, as it was too inconvenient for us to do it on the next day. A poor experience, especially from the experience expected for a hotel that says they have 4 stars.
