The apartment is very well located, a 5 min walk from the Yamanote line. It is very small but has 2 bedrooms and a living room which was useful for a family of 4. The hosts were very responsive and easy to communicate with.

The apartment is older than it looks on the pictures and would benefit from some improvements. The hot water system in the shower is especially quite inconvenient as the hot water would stop each time the tap was turned off, and would not get hot again. We went in the summer so this was not a big problem but i would not like to have this problem in the winter.

The location is fantastic, the apartment is just a 5-7 minute walk from the station, which is a major transport hub. There are also plenty of grocery stores nearby. Communication with the host was a huge plus: they were very quick to respond and helpful. When it turned out the balcony was too cramped to dry clothes on rainy days, the host proactively offered us a laundry service, which we really appreciated.

Unfortunately, that's where the positives end. We stayed as a group of 4, and the apartment was extremely cramped for us. The building and the apartment itself are simply old, and the photos in the listing don't reflect reality at all. Cleanliness also left a bit to be desired. The sink has two separate taps (one with boiling water, the other with ice-cold water) that can't be mixed in any way. As a result, you have to wash your face in either scalding or freezing water. Since this is my fourth time in Japan, I have a good basis for comparison with other accommodations. The price for this apartment was clearly too high and completely inadequate for the quality and conditions provided. Despite the great location, I wouldn't rent this place again.
