Nostalgic pet-friendly cabin near Ponderosa State Park and downtown McCall

Les mieux notés par les clients
Settle in, let your shoulders drop, and make yourself at home—Alder & Antler is ready for your trail days, lake hours, and long, lantern‑low porch nights
With the bunk room and great room close by, the main floor bath quietly does its job—rinsing off dusty kids and tired hikers. Hot water, soft towels, and straightforward finishes make this bathroom a no‑fuss landing spot between porch time and town
Your primary bedroom feels like a classic cabin loft—hand‑hewn beams, vaulted ceiling, and a king bed made for deep mountain sleep. Ensuite bath is super charming with dual copper sinks, a claw foot tub, and a walk-in shower
Sturdy Amish-built custom Q/Q bunks + real mattresses make the bunkroom the favorite crash‑pad for kids, cousins, or a couple trail‑tired grown‑ups. Close quarters in here--can sleep 4 but may be best suited for two adults plus their provisions
Close the door, pull the curtains, and turn the bunk room into a quiet nest after long lake days and late porch nights

Alder & Antler sits in a quiet pocket of McCall that keeps you close to everything without feeling “in town.” You’re less than a mile from Ponderosa State Park, with its pine‑lined trails, bike paths, lake viewpoints, and winter Nordic skiing. Davis Beach on Payette Lake is a quick drive or easy bike ride away for sandy toes and afternoon swims. The McCall Golf Course and the paved bike path system are nearby, making it simple to swap hiking boots for bikes or clubs. Downtown McCall—with its coffee shops, pubs, restaurants, grocery stores, and marina—is only a few minutes by car, so you can grab supplies or dinner out and be back on the porch before sunset. In winter, roads are plowed and you’re well‑placed for snowshoeing in Ponderosa, Nordic trails, and a short drive to Brundage Resort and other local snow adventures.

—(Alder & Antler does NOT have central AC; the loft has a mini-split with AC)—

Alder & Antler feels like the kind of cabin you remember from childhood trips—hand‑hewn logs, a roaring pellet stove, the smell of pine on the porch, and quiet starry nights. It’s authentic, cozy, and tucked close to the lakes, mountains, and woods that make McCall feel like a pocket of timeless Idaho.

--THE SPACE--
• True log‑cabin warmth: hand‑sawn floors, vaulted ceilings, butcher block counters

-Primary Bedroom (upstairs): King bed + full ensuite bath (the primary suite is an open loft with no door that looks down over the living room, just like an old‑school cabin. --Bunkroom (main floor): Queen‑over‑Queen bunk (these are cozy quarters and designed as a space to simply rack out--while this room has beds to sleep four, it's a tight fit for more than 2 adults plus provisions/luggage--be sure to take a look at the photos and make sure it works for your crew)
•BATHROOMS: 2 full baths (clawfoot tub + two walk-in showers)
•LIVING: Open great room under vaulted timbers; cozy seating and dining for 6
•KITCHEN: Butcher‑block counters, Bosch + GE Café appliances, sturdy cookware, sharp knives, Keurig coffee maker (10-15 K-Cups provided), amply supplied for cooking and dining
•TECH: High‑speed Wi‑Fi; 50" smart TV with Bose soundbar (Samsung TV Plus; log in with your own streaming accounts); JBL portable speaker
•FAMILY: Pack ’n play, kid's toys, board games
•CLIMATE + COMFORT
--Heating: whole-home baseboard heating, mini‑split with AC upstairs, pellet stove in the great room (pellets provided)
--Cooling: mini‑split with A/C upstairs (no central AC); ceiling fans and cool mountain nights throughout

--OUTDOOR LIVING--
•Covered front and back porches for coffee and sunsets
•Covered outdoor great room with power and lighting, dining space, and BBQ zone
•Grills: gas grill (propane provided) + charcoal grill (bring charcoal)

--PARKING + RV--
•Plenty of parking for boat/trailer. Guests can use the covered carport and driveway; space for up to 2 cars or a boat under carport (2 cars max)

RECOMMENDATIONS:
*If you're flying into Boise International Airport, we recommend renting a vehicle directly from the airport.

*It's possible to get an Uber from Boise/BOI to McCall, although it's not necessarily a reliable mode of travel; depending on your arrival time and season, you may have difficulty finding a driver who will accept your ride. Uber is not currently accepting advance reservations for trips to McCall from Boise; on-demand rides will be your only option.

*If you're traveling in winter or you plan to enjoy the many off-roading adventures available in Valley County, we HIGHLY recommend a 4WD vehicle.

Self check‑in is standard; we send access instructions three days before arrival.
