By The Sea Agia Anna

This was a lovely little place - very comfortable room. Right by Agia Anna beach and the bus stop. The balcony on Room 4 has a nice view of the ocean. From Agia Anna, you can walk to Agias Prokopias easily or take the bus into Naxos town but it’s a bit quieter and calmer than those two which is nice if that’s what you’re looking for. The hosts Mrs. Georgia and Mr. George are the kindest couple who made me feel like I was staying with someone I knew. Mr. George even told me he had been to Sri Lanka in the 1960s! They were so concerned about me missing my ferry on my departure and called the ferry company to check. Mrs. Georgia told me if the ferry was not running today to just come back. Very kind and caring. It’s so nice when you stay somewhere and receive such kind hospitality. It really made this trip a little sweeter. I do suggest that you build a time buffer between your ferry back to Athens and any international flights. The meltemi (wind) is very strong and can delay and even cancel sailings. When you’re here, you really understand this!

The room was beautifully clean and modern, and the hosts who live next door and manage the property are absolutely lovely and very helpful. It is also right opposite the beach—the most perfect location!
