Welcome to Wine on Texas Time, a stone lake house on a quiet no-wake cove on the North Shore of Lake Travis. Terraced lawns step down to your private covered boat dock, and nearly every room looks out over the water toward the white limestone bluffs of Pace Bend and the Balcones Canyonlands.
Paddle the cove by kayak in the morning, drive 5 minutes to Flat Creek Estate for an afternoon wine tasting, then come home to the fire pit, the grill, and the sunset glowing on the cliffs.
THE HOME
• 4 bedrooms, 3 full bathrooms, sleeps 10
• Primary suite: king bed, wall of lake-view windows, sliding door to the covered balcony, bath with corner soaking tub, glass shower and double vanity
• Bedroom 2: queen bed plus crib, with a full bathroom next door
• Bedroom 3: queen bed
• Bedroom 4: full over full bunk bed plus a twin sleeper sofa, a vintage bar, lake views and a sliding door to the balcony
• Living room with stone wood-burning fireplace, oversized sectional and smart TV
• Fully equipped kitchen with granite counters, bar seating, coffee maker and wine glasses
• Farmhouse dining table surrounded by lake-view windows
• Garage game room with darts, air hockey, ping pong and board games, plus a badminton net you can set up in the yard
• Wi-Fi, laptop-friendly workspace, washer and dryer, central air and ceiling fans
OUTDOORS
• Private covered boat dock on a protected no-wake cove; the owner's boat stays in the slip, and you are welcome to tie up alongside it
• Kayaks for exploring the cove
• Fire pit with zero-gravity loungers overlooking the water
• Lower patio with gas grill, charcoal grill and outdoor dining
• Covered main-level porch with loungers, plus an upper balcony with bistro dining
• Large fenced yard
GETTING AROUND
• Flat Creek Estate winery: about 5 minutes
• Lago Vista: about 20 minutes
• Marble Falls: about 35 minutes
• Downtown Austin and Austin airport (AUS): about 1 hour
A car is required. The mailing address says Marble Falls, but the home sits on the North Shore of Lake Travis between Lago Vista and Marble Falls.

• Stone steps lead down the hillside to the dock; please watch children closely near the water
• No pets, no smoking, no parties or events
• Primary renter must be 25 or older

House was exactly what we were looking for on our relaxing weekend away from home. Boat dock was great and house had amazing views!

Great property. Stairs are steep to the lake so be aware if anyone is afraid of heights or can’t handle multiple narrow stairs. The roads to Travis Peak are Steep and winding. If you aren’t used to driving on those roads, be warned. Otherwise it was great.

Pros: The house fit our 8 people comfortably. The large kitchen table was perfect for eating and games. The couch (although not that comfortable) fit most of us to watch TV or visit in the evening very well. We all felt that we had enough room in the house and the kitchen was big enough for everyone to join in and cook. The house is in a private cove and was perfect for swimming and floating off the dock! The AC worked well even for a Texas summer.
Cons: house is not that clean (spiderwebs and dust) and is need of a lot of update. Pretty much untouched since late 80s. The master shower leaks around the door and it would be great to have another bed in the empty room upstairs instead of a futon off the small room at the front door. The boat dock flooring is old and parts of it have lifted up creating some danger. The railing off the upstairs balcony (empty "Bar" room) is loose and feels like it might give way.
But otherwise we enjoyed our stay and loved floating in the quite cove.
