The Quay House

The Inn keepers Patty, Julia and Pauline went above and beyond. They were welcoming and made us feel like they were guests in their home. The breakfast was 10/10. We were charmed by the evening fires and unique guest room!!!

Easy walk to pubs and restaurants. Lovely hosts. Delicious breakfast.

Lovely manor-style house, all redone and nicely appointed. I stayed in the “Bamboo Room” which was very comfortable, however, it was a bit tacky. I would have preferred a more formal style that kept with the main areas of the house. There were quite a lot of dead fish and animals mounted on walls, not my thing. Breakfast was fantastic, served in a very lovely conservatory by very gracious staff. The choices of food were fantastic (as was the quality). The owner was a very lovely woman who obviously cares very much about the comfort of her guests. She was a wonderful hostess and provided great advice about the area. This was my second stay and if I get back to Clifden, I will stay there again.

Some of the furniture in the parlor has been well used and the cushions could use more stuffing. I would have loved the option to have some tea in the afternoon, but that is not always an option at a B&B, so not a big issue.

Wunderbare Lage und sehr liebevoll ausgestattete Zimmer. Freundliche Gastgeberfamilie. Exzellentes Frühstück. Schön gestaltete Aufenthaltsbereiche mit zum Teil skurriler, aber passender Ausstattung. Jederzeit wieder
