Villa Amore Amalfi Coast

The property contacted us well in advance of our arrival and did everything possible to ensure that our check-in would be smooth, comfortable, and hassle-free. They were excellent in this regard. Villa Amore is not right in the centre of Ravello, but the hotel offers a complimentary shuttle service from its partner car park. Upon our arrival, Salvatore, the hotel porter, welcomed us and carried our luggage to the hotel. When we left, he also loaded our bags into our car so that we could enjoy exploring the town without having to worry about our luggage. Salvatore made our stay truly special with his positive attitude, warm smile, and charming manner. We cannot thank him enough! The hotel's location away from the centre was never an issue for us, as walking through the enchanting streets of Ravello was a pleasure in itself. Our room had an absolutely breathtaking view. We visited several places in Ravello famous for their views, but the one from our hotel was by far the best. The view alone makes Villa Amore worth visiting! Our room was spacious and clean, and overall, we had a wonderful stay. Highly recommended!

There were just two areas that could have been better. First, the pillows were quite uncomfortable. Second, the breakfast could have been improved. At the other hotels we stayed at along the Amalfi Coast, we had the opportunity to sample local products, but we missed those special local touches here. Unfortunately, the lemon cakes were either dry or stale, and the variety of food on offer was quite limited. However, the kindness and warm smiles of the breakfast staff, combined with the magnificent view, more than made up for these shortcomings.

Perfect location. Salvatore is an absolute star. Couldn’t do enough for us. Picked our luggage up from the square and drove it up. (You need it) Beautiful room, great staff. You won’t get a better view eating breakfast. Breathtaking.

Beautiful views, but very disappointing hospitality and poor value for money The hotel offers beautiful views of the Amalfi Coast, but unfortunately, that is where the positive experience ends. The location is far from Ravello’s center, with numerous stairs and difficult access, making it particularly inconvenient when traveling with luggage. Despite its charming setting, the property feels more like a basic midscale hotel, with very limited facilities and virtually no service. Breakfast was disappointing, both in terms of quality and selection. The lack of attention to guests, poor maintenance, and basic amenities were also far below expectations for a hotel in this price category. The overall experience simply does not justify the rates charged. A beautiful view alone is not enough to deliver a memorable hospitality experience. Poor value for money. I would not recommend this property, particularly to travelers expecting comfort, attentive service, and easy access to Ravello.
