The interior design was beautiful. Jordan who welcomed us was very friendly and helpful. The common areas were very inviting

What I liked
* A beautifully restored, century-old villa, newly opened this year, with remarkable attention to even the smallest details.
* Possibly the most comfortable hotel pillows I have ever slept on. The owners explained that they personally selected and tested things in their own home to make sure guests would feel at home too — and it really shows.
* A wonderfully relaxed, welcoming atmosphere, with so many places to unwind: the pool, terrace, veranda, library and club-style sitting room. Everything feels fresh, beautiful and inviting.
* Delicious food, cooked with care, good wine and excellent cocktails.
* Lovely staff who strike just the right balance: attentive without hovering, warm, respectful and with a sense of humour.
* Convenient parking, although carrying luggage inside involves around ten steps. I managed with two heavy suitcases and bags, but an easier way to bring luggage in independently would be welcome.
What I would improve
* A kettle, mugs and tea in every room would make a real difference. Guests can use the coffee machine and hot water in the shared kitchen, which is a lovely arrangement, but when you are unwell — as I was during my stay — even that short trip can feel like an effort. Being able to make a warm drink without leaving the room would add that final touch of comfort.
