Nestled in the garden level of a 1873 Victorian, the Stanton Suite is a warm, thoughtfully designed 1BR retreat steps from Hobart + William Smith Colleges and Seneca Lake. Blending antique charm with local touches, it offers a peaceful escape with a private entrance, a full bathroom, a kitchenette, A/C units, shared, pet-friendly, fenced yard, and walkable access to downtown, a swimming dock, and lakefront trails. Well-behaved dogs welcome with $35 pet fee.

The Space
Step into a space where history meets comfort. The Stanton Suite is a garden-level apartment in a Second Empire Victorian built in 1873, just steps from Seneca Lake and Hobart & William Smith Colleges. Designed with vintage-industrial charm, the space celebrates the natural beauty and storied past of the Finger Lakes.

The suite features a private entrance, cozy bedroom with queen-sized bed, living area with a full-sized pull-out couch, TV with access to your favorite streaming apps, full bathroom, and a kitchenette with a 7-in-1 microwave/toaster/convection oven, coffee maker, dishwasher, and fridge. AC and heating are also provided for your comfort.

Perched across from Seneca Lake, the front yard overlooks a tree-lined sidewalk and benches perfect for watching the sunrise over the lake. Stroll 15 minutes to a hidden swimming dock, or head 20 minutes on foot to downtown Geneva’s shops, restaurants, and Lakefront Park. Guests also enjoy shared access to our woodsy, fenced backyard, which blooms with wildflowers in spring and early summer. The home is located in a residential neighborhood, so please respect our neighbors and keep noise to a minimum.

Two parking spaces are available in the front driveway. Ample, free street parking is also available, but please note that the section of the street beyond our house is a no-parking zone.

There is no cooktop or on-site laundry.

The private entrance is accessed via an outdoor path and unpaved driveway. While we shovel and treat the walkway in winter, snow and uneven ground can occur, which may be challenging for guests with mobility concerns.

Guest access
Guests have private access to the full 1-bedroom, 1-bath unit. The fenced backyard is shared with the homeowners. For your safety, please enjoy only the areas within the fenced yard. The deck area is private to the homeowners and is off-limits to guests. The treehouse on the property is part of the home’s history, but it is not safe for climbing or play.
