After dinner, return to the lounge to stretch out on a sofa and relax in front of your favourite TV shows. At the end of the day, retire to one of the two lovely bedrooms – a double on the first floor and a twin on the second floor. Both bedrooms boast beautiful views over the harbour for you to enjoy in the morning.

Grab your walking boots and explore the majestic ruins of Scarborough Castle (1 mile), which is perched high on a headland overlooking the town and the sea. Alternatively, visit the Rotunda Museum (0.5 miles), an outstanding natural history centre that showcases the region’s geology, fossil-finds and archaeological discoveries. If you’re feeling a little more active, head to the North Yorkshire Water Park (8 miles) to rent a kayak or paddleboard.
