No shoes policy not practical coming in wet w our bags. Artistically and practically that brick floor would look better w a whitewash rather than a solid white paint job to protect from shoe traffic. Also there is dust/ dirt caught in the mortar lines and low spots so a white wash would hide that as well. We are in our 70s so all the steps can be difficult. Not being able to regulate temp like a hotel room is a minus. Heater in bedroom a plus but blew us out the first night. Night light out side the bedroom would help navigate that last staircase step in the dark going to the restroom. Our first venture in an AirB&B. We always stayed on Wards Rd which is a good distance from our sons home. Not sure we saved a lot of travel time going into the old part of town. Road construction was brutal. I was in property management, maintenance and renovations for 35 years. You have a nice place but maybe just not for us.
