Beautiful property! Loved that we were next to the ocean. Lots of amenities for my family.

Disappointing Housekeeping and Customer Service Experience When we first arrived, we were very impressed with how beautiful the property and surrounding area were. Everything looked wonderful, and we were excited to enjoy our family vacation. Unfortunately, the housekeeping service and lack of communication made our stay very disappointing. Check-In Experience I called at 1 PM to ask if we could check in early but was told check-in was still at 4 PM. We understood and respected that policy. However, shortly after we checked in, while my family was sitting together in the living room, an employee came into our room wearing his shoes and informed us that he needed to clean the glass doors. We had literally just checked in and were trying to settle in. It was uncomfortable having someone cleaning our glass doors while our family was relaxing in the room. I would have expected this to be completed before guests arrived. Ants in the Kitchen When we checked in, we noticed a few tiny ants in the kitchen. We didn’t make a big deal about it because we understand that we’re in Hawaiʻi and ants can be common. We purchased some ice cream bananas, and the following day, there were a lot more ants on the kitchen counter. We contacted the front desk, and thankfully, they sent housekeeping to clean the area. We were grateful they responded. However, what bothered us was the comment made by housekeeping that the fruit was the reason we had ants. We explained that we don’t purchase fruit with ants on it, especially bananas, where ants would be easy to see. We also informed them that ants were already present when we first checked in. Instead of making us feel like we caused the problem, a simple acknowledgment would have been appreciated. Housekeeping and Towel Service The following day, we called for fresh towels and were instructed to place our used towels in a bag and leave them outside our room. Later, my daughter accidentally spilled milk all over the bed.
