Golden Venezia Guest Rooms

The place meets all my expectation. It is conveniently located near the ferry stop (5 min walk) with a lot of restaurants nearby. The room is spacious and clean, with a private bathroom; the washer is super helpful in summer time. The feedback that there was no place to hang clothes has been addressed - a rack and many hangers are now provided. The host is very responsive and kindly let us store the languages after checking out. I'd surely come back when I visit again.

Owners were nice and easy to communicate with via WhatsApp but not so good face to face, which was fine. Bed and pillows very comfortable, so I slept well. Much needed aircon was very good. Good location, easy to get everywhere.

Very basic spartan room that didn't really look like the pictures on booking.com. No comfortable chair to sit on. One tiny table and 2 hardbacked chairs, but with huge wardrobes. Space could have been organised a lot better to make the most of the large room. Much of the bathrom tiling grouting was black and needed a good thorough clean. Boiler in my bathroom fired up loudly everytime anyone in the apartment block used the hot water! Sink plug couldn't be released when I wanted to drain the sink water, but when I let the owners know, it was fixed straight away. Before it was fixed I had to clean my teeth in the shower!! The 'view' identified in the property's description was either looking down on a neighbour's courtyard or looking on to a back street. Not what I was expecting to be honest. A small fridge, TV and coffee maker would have really improved this room. Would I recommend this apartment? No, sorry. I was very disappointed.
