Self check-in was a fantastic option for us since we arrived after midnight due to our travel schedule. It was straightforward and easy. The room was spacious, the beds were comfortable, and the location was excellent.
Although the tea and coffee making facilities needed replenishing, we didn't consider this an issue given the last-minute nature of our booking.

Great place! Nice and clean. So many great facilities including good wifi (I was there for work) but also enjoyed the smart TV, the ping pong and darts - what great extras!

Location is good however you will have quite a walk to central pier.
Ember House was clean but aesthetically not just as photos portray on Booking.com website (a clever use of lighting from the company- see own photos, taken in daylight)
Good range of facilities to include a free standing fan.
Reasonable communication/ action from Grace regarding a faulty bedroom door lock.
Prompt response from Grace following a request for towels/ milk for the room (4 night stay).
I was expected to be at site for maintenance to repair door lock. However, I will add we were afforded leaving our case in Ember House following check out (I feel) as a good will gesture from Grace.
Little pressure in hot water tap from bathroom sink in the room in which we stayed. (Photo attached shows flow of water at its most with tap fully opened).

TV not operating in communal room.
The room was not what I would call 'spacious' as listed on the website.
