We are history buffs and really enjoyed the house and the tour. It was nice having the beautiful garden to ourselves as well. The location is amazing. We wish we had organized 3 nights instead of two so we could explore the area more. It is full of antique shops. We had fun on an oyster farm tour and also learned to shuck oysters.

Great place as advertised. It’s the back portion of the historic home, but is very roomy and historically accurate and is walkable to everything in Wicasasset

Very nice location. Plenty of room to move about. Plenty of linens. New A/C units and heaters work well.

We stayed in the downstairs unit. When the man upstairs walked around, literally, the doors and windows rattled. It was loud! But overlooking that, it was the town that we were most disappointed in. There are only a few open restaurants and most of them close at 2:00. The town may have been vibrant at one time but definitely not now. We would not recommend Bucksport..
