We had a fantastic stay at Stone House during our holiday in Slovenia. The house was charming, clean, and well-maintained, with plenty of authentic character and a warm atmosphere.
The location was perfect for exploring the area and enjoying the beautiful Slovenian countryside, with the charming town of Škofja Loka just on the doorstep. With many of Slovenia's must-see attractions within a short driving distance, Stone House is perfectly situated for trips to the mountains, the coast, and the charming capital city of Ljubljana.
The hosts were extremely friendly and helpful, making us feel welcome from the moment we arrived.
Everything met our expectations, and we especially appreciated the peaceful setting and cosy environment. We would highly recommend Stone House to anyone looking for a relaxing and memorable stay in Slovenia.
We would be happy to return in the future!

We absolutely loved our stay at Sten House and genuinely wished we could have stayed longer.
The house is beautiful, full of character and history, while still being comfortable and very well maintained (actually, it’s been completely renovated and everything in it is new). The riverside setting, greenery, and mountain views make it incredibly peaceful, and Škofja Loka is a great base for exploring Slovenia, including Bled, Bohinj, Vintgar Gorge, and Ljubljana.
Igor was also a wonderful host: friendly, responsive, incredibly accommodating, and very understanding. His relaxed and welcoming attitude made the whole stay feel easy and enjoyable.
The neighbors were also incredibly friendly. The house next door is home to a lovely neighbor and his very well-behaved, adorable Slovenian Shepherd–German Shepherd mix, who was a particularly nice bonus during our stay.
Everything felt thoughtful and well cared for, and Sten House has a unique atmosphere that makes it much more than just a place to sleep.
10/10. We would absolutely stay here again and highly recommend it.
