À propos de cette location de vacances
Escape to a beautifully restored historic rope maker's cottage, perfectly positioned in the vibrant heart of Bridport. Just moments from independent shops, welcoming cafés, and the town's famous Wednesday and Saturday markets, you will have the best of this bustling Dorset town right on your doorstep. Despite its central location, the cottage enjoys a wonderfully peaceful setting overlooking a tranquil nature reserve. Wake to birdsong each morning, stroll along the River Asker, and follow the riverside footpath all the way to the sea.
Lovingly renovated by its artist owner, the cottage blends character, comfort, and creativity. Original artwork adorns the walls, a cosy wood burner creates the perfect retreat on cooler evenings, and the master bedroom features a luxurious free-standing bath for long, relaxing soaks. Ropers Cottage comfortably sleeps four guests across two bedrooms, with an additional sofa bed with a quality mattress topper and bedding in the living room for added flexibility.
Upstairs, you will find a beautiful master bedroom with a king-size bed and elegant free-standing bath, creating a boutique hotel feel. The second bedroom offers a comfortable double bed, while the family bathroom features a spacious walk-in shower.
Downstairs, the cottage is full of warmth and character. Relax in the cosy living room beside the wood burner, gather around the dining table for leisurely meals, or make use of the fully equipped kitchen. A handy utility room includes a washing machine and WC.
Outside, an enclosed garden provides a private space to unwind, with outdoor seating and a fire pit that is perfect for long summer evenings. To the front of the cottage, the peaceful nature reserve offers open green space beside the river, ideal for enjoying the outdoors.
Whether you're exploring the coast in summer or curling up by the fire in winter, Ropers Cottage offers the perfect balance of town life and cosy retreat.
Additional information:
The cottage is conveniently located next to South Street Car Park. Parking is free from 6pm until 8am, with daytime parking available for up to four hours.
For longer stays, East Street Car Park and West Street Car Park offer all-day parking.
