In particular, it is said to be the “birthplace of family baths.” “Family baths” are private hot springs that can be reserved exclusively for one group at a time. Taking a tour of the baths with your family is sure to soothe both your mind and body.
Additionally, the area features hot springs associated with Takamori Saigō and another said to have been visited by Ryōma Sakamoto on his honeymoon, making these historic spots another major attraction.
