À propos de cette location de vacances
Welcome to our guesthouse in Itanhangá, one of the greenest and most peaceful areas of Rio de Janeiro. The property is located inside a **private gated community**, offering a quiet and secure environment while being surrounded by the mountains and tropical vegetation of Rio's West Zone.
The location is one of the best things about staying here. You get the feeling of being away from the city, yet you're only a short drive from the beaches, restaurants, shopping and services of Barra da Tijuca. São Conrado, Tijuca Forest, Pedra da Gávea and Pedra Bonita are also nearby.
### Nature right outside your door
The property is surrounded by mature trees and tropical vegetation, and wildlife is part of everyday life here. **Small monkeys, toucans and many other birds** regularly visit the property. You may spend your morning having coffee while watching monkeys moving through the trees or listening to the many different birds around the house.
This isn't a resort where nature has been landscaped away. It's a genuine tropical environment, and that's a big part of the experience.
### The guesthouse
The guesthouse is **rustic, informal and comfortable rather than luxurious**. We want to be very clear about this because we think the right expectations make for a much better stay.
Think more **tropical cabin or Brazilian country house** than modern hotel or luxury apartment. The house has character, natural surroundings and a relaxed atmosphere. It is a good choice for travelers who appreciate nature, privacy and an authentic experience rather than polished, contemporary finishes.
The guesthouse accommodates up to **three guests**, with a double bed in the bedroom and a sofa that can be used as a sleeping space for a third guest.
You'll have:
* Air conditioning
* Wi-Fi
* Equipped kitchen
* Bedroom with double bed
* Bathroom with shower
* Living area with sofa
* Outdoor space surrounded by greenery
* Access to a **shared swimming pool**
* Parking
* The peace and security of a gated community
### The location
Itanhangá is a unique part of Rio. The neighborhood sits between the mountains and the ocean, with Barra da Tijuca to one side and the forested mountains of Tijuca National Park on the other.
Barra da Tijuca's long beaches are a short drive away, along with supermarkets, shopping malls, restaurants, cafes, pharmacies, gyms and other everyday conveniences.
For nature and outdoor activities, you're close to:
* Tijuca National Park
* Pedra da Gávea
* Pedra Bonita
* São Conrado
* Barra da Tijuca beaches
* Hiking trails
* Golf courses
And when you want to experience the famous sights of Rio, Christ the Redeemer, Sugarloaf Mountain, Ipanema, Copacabana and the Botanical Garden are all accessible by car or Uber.
### Getting around
A car is useful if you want to explore extensively, but it isn't essential for many guests. Uber and other ride-sharing services are widely available in Rio, and the main roads connecting Itanhangá with Barra, São Conrado and other parts of the city are easily accessible.
The gated community provides a peaceful retreat from the traffic and activity of the city, while still keeping you close to the places you're likely to want to visit.
### Who will enjoy this place?
This guesthouse is particularly suited to people who enjoy:
* Nature and wildlife
* Quiet surroundings
* Privacy
* A more authentic Brazilian experience
* Hiking and outdoor activities
* Beaches without staying in a crowded tourist district
* Remote work and longer stays
* A relaxed, rustic atmosphere
It may **not** be the right choice if you're looking for a luxury hotel experience, ultra-modern finishes or a completely urban environment.
If you're the kind of traveler who would rather sit outside with a coffee watching a toucan or a family of small monkeys than stay in a polished high-rise apartment, you'll probably love it here.
### A little piece of Rio
What makes this place special is the combination. You're in a **secure gated community**, surrounded by tropical forest and wildlife, with mountains behind you and the beaches of Barra da Tijuca just a short drive away. It's not the typical Rio experience—and that's exactly why we love it. PGJyPg PGJyPg Come for the beaches and the city, but enjoy a quieter, greener and more natural place to come home to.
