Sit by the crackling outdoor firepit, stroll or play yard games across 4 1/2 acres of fields and gardens, or sit and read under the trees. Indulge in cocktails while witnessing the spectacular sunset from the gazebo or gather around the piano inside while you tickle the ivories. Watch the roosting eagles soar above the bluff year-round, and see the gray whales in the distance during their migration from March to May.

What a great property inside and out. Our annual Whidbey Island Family gathering was held here. We usually rent a different place every year, but this time I think we all agree to return to Marty's Place again. Lots of space for all of us with a room to spare. The kitchen is amazing with two dishwashers, two sinks with garbage disposals, a great oven, well-stocked kitchen, plus a spectacular view! It's a perfect space for a large family. Simply the BEST stay yet!

Beware, if you come to Marty's place you'll never want to leave. The view is sublime, the grounds are expansive and beautiful, the house is gracious and spacious. We were a party of 7 adults and 1 teen on Whidbey for my daughter's wedding at Fireseed. Marty's Place was the perfect basecamp for the parent's of the bride and some friends and family from all over the world. We made big home cooked meals in the wonderfully equipped and gigantic kitchen, we roasted marshmallows with cousins in the fabulous fire pit, we spent hours relaxing, chatting and sipping on the wide and comfortable wrap around porch. Thank you Marty's Place for every moment of Whidbey magic!

A beautiful home in a great location within walking distance of Langley. Really great kitchen, dining, and conversation spaces for our family reunion of 14. A few things came up. The chain on one of the toilet handles broke early in the week. Despite repeated promises from Vacasa that “the local team has been contacted and will reach out,” nothing happened and we were effectively down one bathroom for the full trip. Also, there were signs on the bunk beds saying, “Do not use the upper bunks” which we had been counting on for the younger cousins. Do not book if you plan to use all the beds in the bunk room. Minor inconveniences overall. We made it work but it did not meet up to our other VRBO experiences. Whidbey is a magical place, though. We would definitely come back to the island.

My family and I had a great time at Marty’s. It was so peaceful and relaxing. Sunrise and sunsets were beautiful! 20 min walk to town.
