À propos de cette location de vacances
The house
Each of the four bedrooms has its own character and name. A Taberna, on the first floor with a private bathroom, occupies what was one of the village's old meeting points. Refúgio is a suite with an exposed granite wall, a walk-in closet and private bathroom. Serra is bright and spacious, with views over the village's quiet daily life. Olival, the coziest of the four, is a natural hideaway for anyone who loves burrowing under blankets. Together they sleep 8, with three bathrooms in total.
The fully equipped kitchen (with a Nespresso Vertuo machine) opens to a warm living room with a wood-burning stove. Downstairs, the lounge is built for staying in: a 98" home cinema with soundbar, a PlayStation with racing simulator and board games — for kids, grown-ups and group evenings alike. In the attic, a quiet, separate office with wired internet makes remote work genuinely easy. Parking area for four cars inside the property. products. A baby cot is available at no extra cost.
The area
Sobral da Serra sits in the Mondego valley, at the gateway to the Serra da Estrela mountains — the perfect base to explore the region. Nature lovers will enjoy the Mondego Walkways, a 12 km riverside trail with suspension bridges, waterfalls and striking scenery, about 15 minutes away by car. The river beaches of Porto da Carne (2 km) and Aldeia Viçosa (7 km) are ideal on warm days.
A few minutes' drive takes you to Linhares da Beira, one of Portugal's 12 Historical Villages, with its medieval castle and valley views — and the country's paragliding capital, with tandem flights in spring and summer. In Celorico da Beira, visit the castle, the Serra da Estrela Cheese Manor and the historic center with its Manueline windows.
Guarda, Portugal's highest city, and the peaks of Serra da Estrela complete a region rich in history, nature and gastronomy — Serra da Estrela cheese, cured sausages and roast kid goat above all.
