Manzanita Beach Cabin is a recently renovated, rustic 400-square-foot 1964 family cabin on Vashon Island, set on property that has been in our family for more than 100 years. This cozy 1-bedroom, 1-bath retreat is a peaceful place to slow down, reconnect, and enjoy the beauty of the island.
The cabin features a twin-over-queen bunk, sleeper sofa, pack ’n play, baby bouncer, walk-in tile shower, walnut butcher-block counters, Wi-Fi, washer/dryer, fire pit, picnic area, and access to your own private beach just across the private gravel road.
Step outside and take in breathtaking views of the entrance to Quartermaster Harbor as it opens into Puget Sound. Facing west, the cabin offers beautiful sunsets over the water, while views to the south stretch toward the Port of Tacoma and, around the corner, Mount Rainier.
There’s plenty to explore along the shoreline. At low tide, look for sea stars and other marine life, or wander south toward the sand spits to build sandcastles and explore the beach. On warm days, the water offers a great spot for swimming and enjoying a refreshing day at the shore.
As evening settles in, gather around the fire pit or relax on the covered porch beneath a spectacular night sky filled with stars. Whether you're watching the sunset, exploring the shoreline, swimming, building sandcastles with the family, reading, or simply enjoying a quiet morning by the water, Manzanita Beach Cabin offers a cozy, comfortable home base for slowing down and experiencing Vashon Island.
