Escape to East Suffolk with a stay at this beautifully updated period property within walking distance of the market town of Beccles. Sleeping up to eight guests, this is the perfect choice for families and groups of friends planning days of coastal and countryside adventures across East Anglia together. Reach the centre of Beccles in under a mile to explore its streets lined with independent shops, cafes and restaurants. The River Waveney passes through the town and leads into the Broads National Park, offering plenty of opportunities for scenic walks and bike rides. Popular national park destinations nearby include Oulton Broad, St Olaves and Reedham (all within 12 miles). Further afield, the vibrant city of Norwich (18 miles) is famous for its street markets, cathedral and castle. Days on the coast are also made easy, with Kessingland, Lowestoft, Southwold and Walberswick all within 14 miles.
Set over three floors, this spacious property has been lovingly converted to blend its original features with contemporary styling and modern comforts. Step inside, leave your shoes and coats behind, and make yourself at home. Follow the corridor and find a choice of two welcoming sitting rooms to your right. The first is the main lounge, where plush seating is arranged around a roaring wood burner and Smart TV. The second is an additional snug with more soft seating and Smart TV, offering plenty of space for the group to spread out. At the end of the corridor awaits one of the highlights of the home: the light-filled open-plan kitchen/diner. The smart kitchen features everything needed for a self-catered stay, and you can enjoy your holiday meals at the breakfast bar, around the formal dining table, or alfresco on the covered patio. A handy WC completes the ground floor. At the end of each day away, head up to the first and second floors to find a choice of four restful bedrooms. The first floor hosts a master king-size room with an en-suite bathroom, as well as a double bedroom and a twin room served by a family bathroom. The second floor offers a double bedroom and a fun den with bean bags, choice of games and selection of books.
Step outside as often as possible and make full use of the generous garden, which almost wraps around the entire property. Accessed from the ground-floor kitchen/diner, this pretty space is enclosed, allowing children and pets to play freely on the lawn.
